world of warcraft
lost asked:

I don’t play it but the rest of my family does and its about all they do. It has destroyed family events because they are hooked to the computer. They all don’t live with me and I know what they do is their own business. The fact of the matter is the kids are hooked into it. I don’t visit that much its just sad. My husband and I take the grandkids and do things with them when we can but come summer they are going to enjoy the outdoors. I just wanted your opinion on this matter.

Sorry to hear that your family is plagued by WoW. I used to play that game all the time. Truth to be told if it’s not WoW, it will be something else.

Sometimes it’s good to pull them away from it though, as the game is very time consuming. Maybe you could talk to the parents, and be serious about explaining your feelings towards them never wanting to do anything. Don’t base it entirely on the game though, as I said, it’s just another “activity”.

Hope you can work things out, and get to spend more time with your loved ones.

My brother is. Its horrible. He plays as much as he can, gets home from school. BAM hes already downstairs playing his game. I do play WoW, but I am honestly not obsessed with it anymore. I got tired of using all my money to pay for time. Its boring after a while…play for 2 months, pay 30 dollars, play for 2 mo, pay 30 dollars, etc. I had over $200.00 in my bank before I started playing WoW and now I only have $25.00. It destroyed my social life. I’m trying to stop playing, and right now, I really don’t even want to play anymore, its boring to me now.
Good luck. Do what I told someone else, try uninstalling World of Warcraft on their computers and then hide the disks, then put parental control on their accounts, if they refuse to give you their username and passcode, then they never get it back. I’d make the parental control for 24 hrs every week. Then if they start progressing slowly progress to more time. 30 hrs a week, 34 hrs a week, etc.
    Good luck
